REDMOND -- A no-fee adoption agency started by a Redmond church plans to open offices in the next year at Wenatchee, Spokane and Vancouver.
Antioch Adoptions is a non-profit agency that was started in 2000 by the Antioch Bible Church. It has placed about 300 children, mostly foster care children. The agency raises money to cover all costs except attorney fees, which are paid by the state for foster children.
The agency is getting volunteer help this year from a Xerox manager, Cyndi Quan-Trotter of Seattle, who is one of the company's six employees chosen this year for a paid sabbatical.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
